Dr. Randy Maglinao earned his degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Biological and Agricultural Engineering at the University of Idaho in 2011. He also served as a Research Assistant of the National institute of Advanced Transport and Technology (NIATT). During his research, he discovered an alternative way of producing via in situ hydrogenolysis. In recognition of his enthusiasm and creativity in doing research, he was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student Award in the College of Engineering in the University of Idaho for the academic year 2010-2011. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Philippines Los Banos and graduated with honors, Cum Laude. His undergraduate research focused on distilled ethanol produced from fermentation process using a pilot-scale distillation process. He also earned his Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in the same university and researched on the production of microbial rennet bia aerobic fermentation of Rhizopus chinensis using wheat bran as substrate.
